Glazing Technique

Here's a nice website summarizing the glazing/scumbling technique with very easy to understand photos and information. A good thing to look over for next class. However, keep in mind that his is a rather tight, limited approach - so never think you have to make use of the technique in exactly the way a book would instruct you.

  1. Layer- layers- layers. So many things in life just like in this beautiful painting can not be done or accomplished in 1- or 2 of anything. To paint even the simplest of things- water- to bring it alive. You must build upon it nothing is produced weather it be in nature or even synthetically by itself. So to make it look real or have depth as in this tutorial, we create in layers, steps, and create facets of dimension.
