Trip to see art - SATURDAY!

We will meet at 11am THIS SATURDAY MORNING the 23rd, at the corner of 26th street and 10th avenues in New York. If you are coming by train to Penn Station, it's a short walk southwest (see map below). If it's raining, we will meet inside the lobby of 526 West 26th Street.   1. I thought David Reed's piece at the Ameringer McEnery Yohe gallery was amazing. I first saw his finished piece, #483. I like the graffiti look it has to it by his use of brush strokes and curves in the piece. I think the layers this piece has is interesting. The background is this transparent light pink and only parts of this work get more opaque. Even some of the opaque parts are wiped away so you can see through other layers.

    I appreciated the fact that his studies were in the show as well with directions on them. It was neat to see his studies go from a small monochromatic blue study to a 36 by 144 inch piece incorporating a pink and red into it.
